Morphine
Inspired by the work of Anita Berber, this edgy slice of Weimar performance art takes a walk on the dark side. It evokes David Lynch and Fosse to bring the intensity of the ‘Voluptuous Panic’ of 1920s Berlin to strange and erotic life as she uses her swirling chiffon ‘wings’ and her 5 inch needled fingers to inhabit the character of ‘Morphine’.
For an extra avant-guarde twist, this can (depending on venue) be performed entirely in the dark, with the audience picking out her curves and sinuous movements with torches.
